What you'll learn

Understand the science of psychological safety
Explore the psychology, research and neuroscience underpinning psychological safety, including why it matters for individuals, teams and organisations.
Understand the assessment
Learn how the Full Questionnaire and Pulse were developed, when to use each assessment, and how to work appropriately with concepts including reliability, validity, norm groups and Sten scores.
Interpret Psychological Safety profiles
Learn how to interpret individual and group Psychological Safety reports, exploring patterns across the data and building a richer picture rather than reading individual scores in isolation.
Explore psychological safety in context
Understand the factors that can influence people's experience of psychological safety and what the results might tell you about the climate within a team.
Turn insight into conversation
Learn how to explore Psychological Safety results sensitively and constructively, using the data to open up conversations rather than treating scores as definitive conclusions.
Work effectively with teams
Learn how to facilitate conversations around a Group Report, helping teams explore their results, make sense of different experiences and identify practical actions they can take together.
Learn. Practise. Apply.
Psychological Safety accreditation combines flexible online learning with live practice and applied experience, helping you move from understanding the tool to using it confidently and sensitively with others.
1. Build your knowledge
4–6 hours | Online, self-paced
Work through the Psychological Safety learning in your own time, exploring the evidence behind the assessment, the BeTalent Psychological Safety model, questionnaire and reports, and the principles of effective interpretation and facilitation.
Your online learning opens two weeks before your Skills Lab.
2. Put it into practice
4 hours | Live virtual Skills Lab
Join a small group of up to 10 practitioners to apply what you've learned. You'll work with Psychological Safety reports, practise interpretation and facilitation skills, explore different ways of approaching Psychological Safety conversations and learn from the approaches and experiences of others.
3. Demonstrate your practice
Professional Practice Simulation
Complete a practical case-study simulation designed to help you apply your learning to a realistic team context. You'll work with a provided Psychological Safety Group Report and demonstrate how you would approach facilitating a conversation with the team.
Your simulation will be reviewed by BeTalent before we confirm your accreditation.
4. Become an Accredited User
Once you've successfully completed the programme, you'll become an accredited BeTalent Psychological Safety user, able to purchase and administer both the Full Questionnaire and Pulse independently, interpret the reports and use the insight to facilitate conversations with individuals and teams.
