“The BeTalent Strengths Questionnaire is a well designed instrument assessing 28 distinct strengths relevant to workplace behaviour and development.”

- British Psychological Society feedback

Strengths shape more than self-awareness

Built on rigorous research and real-world insight, BeTalent Strengths goes beyond generic personality profiling. It provides practical, workplace-relevant data that helps people understand what gives them energy, how they create value, and where their strengths may be at risk of being overused or underused.

Insight is only valuable if people can use it. Whether supporting recruitment decisions or developing existing talent, many organisations invest in profiling tools that help people understand themselves, but still leave teams asking: what do we do with this day to day?

BeTalent Strengths connects evidence to practical action. It helps organisations make better-informed selection and development decisions, while enabling individuals to recognise not only their strengths but also the situations in which those strengths are most effective, and where they may need to adapt. The result is more meaningful development conversations, stronger collaboration, and better people decisions.

This is where a lasting strengths-based culture begins.

A more objective view of strengths

BeTalent Strengths moves strengths-based selection and development beyond assumption, generic self-description, or informal feedback.

It provides a structured, workplace-specific view of strengths that gives organisations a clearer foundation for coaching, team development, talent conversations, and decisions about how people are supported and deployed.

How the BeTalent Strengths Assessment Works

BeTalent Strengths uses clear, workplace-based statements to identify the behaviours people find most energising.

Responses are mapped against the BeTalent Strengths framework and translated into a suite of reports, from personal strengths profiles to group, manager, and expert reports for coaching, development, selection, and team conversations.

The reports go beyond description, highlighting not only an individual's strengths but also where those strengths may be at risk of overuse or underuse. This insight helps inform hiring conversations and shape targeted development opportunities, enabling people to flex their strengths and adapt to different contexts.

Developed by organisational psychologists and rigorously validated, the assessment measures

28 strengths

relevant to workplace behaviour and development.

These strengths cluster into four practical dimensions:

Interact, Deliver, Lead, and Think

giving individuals and teams a shared language for how they communicate, get work done, motivate others and problem solve.

Harness cognitive diversity and reduce the risk of groupthink

Strengths are not fixed labels or profiles to match against. They are behavioural patterns that help teams understand difference, reduce over-reliance on one way of working, and apply strengths responsibly.

Difference creates value
Understand the range of strengths across a team, not just the dominant style.

Not for profile matching
Use strengths insight for development and deployment, not culture-fit screening.

Strengths in context
Understand where strengths help, create risk, or need adapting to achieve the best outcomes.

When to use BeTalent Strengths

BeTalent Strengths is used in key moments where understanding what energises people can improve performance, collaboration, development, and talent decisions.

During leadership development

Help leaders understand how their strengths shape communication, decision-making, influence, and impact under pressure.

This can highlight where strengths support leadership effectiveness, and where they may be overplayed or limiting communication, judgement, trust, or team engagement.

When building stronger teams

Map individual and collective strengths to understand how people work together, where the team has natural energy, and where gaps or over-reliance may appear.

This supports collaboration, trust, communication, cognitive diversity, and team performance.

During career, succession, and talent conversations

Give people practical language to describe where they add value, what motivates them, and the environments where they are most likely to thrive.

This supports clearer conversations about progression, retention, succession, talent deployment, and future potential.

During onboarding and early development

Help new starters understand how they contribute, integrate into teams, and build confidence faster.

Used well, Strengths can support more meaningful onboarding, stronger early development, and improved time to performance.

As part of broader talent assessment

Where strengths are used in recruitment or assessment, they should sit alongside structured evidence and expert interpretation.

BeTalent Strengths can add depth by showing what energises people, how they may respond in role, and where they are most likely to thrive.
