What you'll learn

Your accreditation will give you a deeper understanding of BeTalent Decision Styles and the skills to interpret and apply the insight responsibly.

Understand the science of decision making
Explore the psychology and neuroscience of decision making, including the role of rational and intuitive processes and how context can influence the way we make choices.

Understand the assessment
Learn how the questionnaire was developed and how to work appropriately with concepts including reliability, validity, norm groups, Sten scores and confidence intervals.

Interpret Decision Styles profiles
Learn how to interpret the ten Decision Styles and understand Primary, Secondary and Agile preferences, building a richer picture from the profile rather than reading individual scores in isolation.

Explore Decision Styles in context
Understand the potential strengths and risks associated with different Decision Styles, how preferences can interact, and why no style is inherently good or bad.

Turn insight into conversation
Learn how to use Decision Styles profiles as the starting point for exploratory feedback, helping people reflect on their natural preferences and consider when adapting their approach could be valuable.

Apply Decision Styles with individuals and teams
Explore how Decision Styles can be used across development, team and selection contexts, including how greater awareness of different approaches can support more effective conversations about decision making.

Learn. Practise. Apply.

Decision Styles accreditation combines flexible online learning with live practice and real-world experience, helping you move from understanding the tool to using it confidently with others.

1. Build your knowledge
4–6 hours | Online, self-paced

Work through the Decision Styles learning in your own time, exploring the evidence behind the assessment, the BeTalent Decision Styles model, questionnaire and reports, and the principles of effective interpretation and feedback.

Your online learning opens two weeks before your Skills Lab.

2. Put it into practice
4 hours | Live virtual Skills Lab

Join a small group of up to 10 practitioners to apply what you've learned. You'll work with Decision Styles profiles, practise interpretation and feedback skills, explore different ways of facilitating Decision Styles conversations and learn from the approaches and experiences of others.

3. Build real experience
Professional Practice | Recommended within 4–6 weeks

Put your learning into practice by administering three Decision Styles questionnaires and delivering a one-hour feedback session to each participant.

You'll then submit a short reflection on your experience. We'll review it and provide feedback before confirming your accreditation.

4. Become an Accredited User

Once you've successfully completed the programme, you'll become an accredited BeTalent Decision Styles user, able to purchase and administer the assessment independently and use it with individuals and teams in development and selection contexts.
