Strengthening Leadership Resilience in Global Health Technology

This case study shows how a global health technology company partnered with BeTalent by Zircon to strengthen leadership resilience across its Executive and Senior Leadership communities. Operating in a climate of rapid change and sustained pressure, the organisation sought a practical, relatable approach that would validate core leadership behaviours, support wellbeing and enhance the ability of senior leaders to perform effectively under demanding conditions.

Challenge

The organisation was operating in a climate of relentless workload, rapid change and “more with less”. Many technically capable senior leaders were struggling to step up into higher performance. At the same time, it needed to safeguard wellbeing while maintaining sustained performance, decisive leadership and effective collaboration under pressure.

The organisation also required the validation of five core leadership behaviours and a clear, level-differentiated model of potential for senior assessments. Earlier exploratory research into Hogan and the NEO showed these options were either too clinical or not sufficiently relatable for leaders’ day-to-day experiences.

Our Approach

BeTalent by Zircon recommended integrating the BeTalent Resilience Assessment as a core element of the organisation’s leadership framework. This tool offered simple, practical language that leaders could immediately apply. It enabled constructive discussions about stress, pressure and resilience without the complexity of traditional psychometric scales.

Leaders completed the assessment and attended facilitated resilience workshops. These sessions enabled them to interpret their resilience profiles, understand personal derailers and develop tailored strategies for maintaining resilience through ongoing change and uncertainty.

Deployment and Impact

The programme brought together diagnostic insight and practical development:

The solution supported the organisation’s broader aim of validating leadership behaviours and building a model of potential that differentiated effectively across leadership levels.

The programme achieved 95% overall satisfaction and an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 for meeting expectations. Many leaders reported improved stress management in both their professional and personal lives. The insights also informed the creation of practical team-level protocols for identifying early warning signs, supporting wellbeing and sustaining high performance.
